VCE / BLEND

Year 10 students can apply to undertake the full range of VCE subjects on offer at the Barkly senior campus after negotiation with their families and teachers. The application process assesses each student's preparedness for the academic rigour that characterises senior study. We want to guarantee that our students are achieving their maximum potential at this level of education. The Blend program replaces one elective selection per semester for those students who are successful in gaining a place in a VCE class. The program is separate to the college VET program offering students a more flexible range of opportunities to access advanced studies.

VETiS

VETiS comprises nationally recognised certificates undertaken by college students which can contribute towards the completion of a senior secondary certificate through either the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL). VET subjects are organised through the Highlands LLEN. They are undertaken at a range of educational facilities and schools around the Ballarat area.

SUBJECTS INCLUDE:

·         Music Industry Skills

·         Community Services (Child or Youth)

·         Building and Construction

·         Equine

·         Automotive

·         Agriculture

·         Hair and Beauty

·         Nursing

There are more options available. We encourage you to contact the college and make enquiries.
